Hello it’s me, your faithful Observer! I love getting to write to you each week, always on the hunt for new events and new senses to report back on. I want to grow The Edgewater Observer into a fundamental community resource that you can rely on and return to. To make that sustainable for me, I need it to generate at least a small amount of income. Just 9 new paid subscribers will help me prove to myself that I can keep this going. Please consider upgrading to access the event round-up (the most thorough in the city!) or buy a classified or a personal. And if you or your organization are interested in sponsoring the newsletter, please reach out!
And if you’re not able to upgrade today, I would love to get your feedback on what would make you more likely to pay for The Edgewater Observer! Hit reply and let me know.

Saw: Collage art on a traffic light pole at Bryn Mawr and Winthrop
Heard: A line of safety-vest-wearing toddlers strung together, waving hello and admiring the UPS truck that pulled up beside them at the intersection of Broadway and Catalpa. The driver waved back because they’re not a monster.
Smelled: The softly wafting eau de garbage from the alley behind Jewel Osco
Tasted: The Alla Norma pizza from Sfera and fresh orange juice from their orange squeezing machine. 😘👌 KILLER COMBO
Touched: A trapeze at Get A Grip! And a lyra and a sling and silks 😍. The aerial sampler class is extremely fun — highly recommend.
(Neither Get A Grip nor Sfera nor Jewel Osco nor even UPS sponsors this newsletter but guys, get in touch!)
(Especially Jewel. I have feedback on your sign.)
